It seems not everyone is
impressed with the "breathe" function on the Nokia E72. One of the readers

couldn't figure out what was causing his phone to slowly pulse or flash a white
light coming from the Opti Navi Key. Eventually they found out from Nokia that
it is the "breathe" function which pulses a gentle light to let you know where
your phone is in the dark. When you miss a call, email or SMS, the slow pulsing
light becomes a more urgent flash. So if you do not like the flashing? This is
how you turn it off:
Go to menu, control panel, settings, general, personalisation, notification lights, standby br.light, select off.
